Full Circle Counseling and Wellness - Helping you find balance and grace through life's transitions

Biography

: I have been working with groups and individuals for over 15 years. After attending Vassar College in Poughkeepsie, I moved to New York City and began my professional journey as an advocate for community development, and I embarked on path of personal development focused on health and wellness. Upon leaving New York City I traveled in Latin America for several months, learning Spanish and studying natural medicine with indigenous healers. This journey ultimately led me to Washington State, where I worked and studied with Naturopathic doctors, homeopaths, and home-birth midwives. Through this work, I developed a deep reverence for the birth process and for the incredible journey into parenthood. My own transition into motherhood has been my greatest teacher. I received my Master's in Counseling from Naropa University in Boulder, Colorado. Through my studies at Naropa, I learned the art of fusing western psychology with eastern spiritual practices and belief systems. My work as a therapist has included private practice, advocacy to survivors of domestic violence, and clinical and supervision work serving individual adults, couples, families, children, and infants in community mental health settings. I have advanced training in perinatal mental health, infant development, and trauma treatment. I am also trained in Experiential Play Therapy and in Levels I and II of Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR.) I am a member of the New York State Association of Mental Health Counselors and a NYS Co-Coordinator for Postpartum Support International. I am also the Founder and currently serve as Board President for Parenting Village, a local organization created to support parents and families.
